Multiple Teams · Chrisman Cross Country at Oak Grove Invitational, September 7, 2017


The William Chrisman boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed at the Oak Grove Invitational at Frick Park on Thursday.

Two varsity boys and two varsity girls’ medaled for the Bears (top 20 in varsity races medaled). Junior Aaron Nyaway took seventh and senior Trey Dumas was ninth. For Nyaway, new to distance running, it was his first 5k race. Junior Lill Conner-Urnise and sophomore Kayli Perez earned medals for the girls.

The top 15 JV runners earned medals and the Bears just missed out. Junior Tony Hilton took 19th for the boys and sophomore Charly Claibourn and freshman Olivia VanFossen finished 18th and 19th, respectively, for the girls.

The Bears are in again next Tuesday at Sibley Orchard for the Independence City Championships.
