The varsity men’s basketball team did something that had not been done in 10 years at William Chrisman, they won a district championship! The Bears defeated the Liberty North Eagles on Saturday by a score of 76-61 in the North Kansas City Fieldhouse.
The game was back and forth through the first half, with the Bears taking a three point lead into halftime. The Bears then proceeded to win the third quarter by six and scored 24 points in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Isaiah Jackson led Chrisman with 24 points and Dawson Herl added 14 of his own. In all, the Bears had ten players score in the championship game.
William Chrisman will play in the sectional championship game on Wednesday, March 6 at 3pm at the Silverstein Eye Center Arena against Park Hill South. We need everyone out to support our guys as they are just two wins away from the final four!
