Boys Varsity Field and Track & Field, Girls Varsity Field and Track & Field · Chrisman Track and Field Competes at Fort Osage Trail Invitational

With a meet Tuesday and another meet on Friday, the Bears took a smaller squad to the Fort Osage Invitational on Wednesday.

Although the number of contestants might have been fewer than normal, the talent and performances were top notch as Chrisman brought home 13 medals, including five event winners.

Sophomore Jacque David led the way as she won both the discus and the shot put and senior David Toese added a title in the boys’ discus.

Sophomore Wyatt Leutzinger set a PR by a foot with a jump of 13 feet for a first place finish in the pole vault. Junior Tanner Jolley added a title in the 800m with a PR by more than five seconds.

Toese led five Bears’ second place finishes with a good showing in the shot put. Senior Tony Hilton had a strong day in the jumps with second place in both triple and long. Teammates Reana Lagrone and Morgan Bauman tied for second in the pole vault.

Senior Nick Puleo was third in both the discus and shot put while junior Jenny David was third in discus and fourth in shot.

The Bears are back in action Friday at Pitt State.
