The Bingham Bears Cross Country team wrapped up a successful season Wednesday at Ray Pec South Middle School. This was the second time the team had run the course this season. The only difference was time the weather was about 20 degrees warmer that the first! This caused some runners more trouble than others. The weather has been extremely mild this fall during most of our practices and meets. However several runners battled through the conditions and competed to their best ability despite the challenges the weather provided.
Ket Munger improved his time in the A race running 9:55 for the 1.5 Mile course which was :19 seconds faster than the previous attempt on this course just 10 days prior. Josiah and Emma Rider also had huge days. Josiah ran 13:00 in the boys B race which was :47 seconds faster than his last effort, and Emma ran 16:32 in the girls C race which was :59 seconds faster than last time.
Other Bingham racers who finished their last XC meet in the blue and white are girls Haley Sanders 14:03, Emilia Hill 15:43, and Lainey Lowery 15:50. The boys teams other lone 8th grader was Jordan Tyra 11:26. We will greatly miss these 8th graders who have built a great foundation in which to build future teams on. Please continue to run on your own in preparation for the Track season this Spring. Also stay tuned for opportunities to train via remind and email over the summer. I also want to commend Jaden Tyra who was having a great season before breaking his elbow earlier this month.
Good luck in the future Bears!
Sincerely, Coach Carr and Coach Rathke
