Monday’s game against North Kansas City was a heartbreaker for WC Bears, as they lost the lead late in a 9-7 defeat. WC Bears collected ten hits and North Kansas City had ten in the high-scoring affair.

WC Bears opened up scoring in the second inning when Alex Johnson doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

After WC Bears scored one run in the top of the fifth, North Kansas City answered with one of their own. WC Bears scored when Alex Smith singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

WC Bears tallied four runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught came from doubles by Trey Kates, Andru Campos, and Johnson.

Kona Hudson started the game for WC Bears. Hudson lasted five and a third innings, allowing ten hits and eight runs while striking out three. Aaron Smith threw two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen.
